Catching the Most Elusive Fish
Perhaps upon reading the title of this article you are guessing at the back of your mind which fish is the most elusive in the world. Well in spite of the different conflicting assertions of zoologists as to what is the fastest fish in the world, the truth is, with countless species of fish in the marine universe, we can never know.
There is no elusive fish to a skilled and superb fishing enthusiast. As long as he knows how to incorporate all the advantageous elements and situations in fishing, he’ll surely be able to roll up the rope and catch that tricky, difficult fish.
A fishing enthusiast must have a good sense of choosing the right equipment. Since fishing is a hobby as old as the prehistoric humans, there is unquestionably a number of fishing shops wherein he can choose the best tools. The word “best” here doesn’t mean buying the most expensive brands, but having an eye for things that mostly suit the target utility of the fisher. The tackle and the tackle box must be chosen with functionality and durability in mind. Together with the equipment, using the correct baits and ground baits is also a crucial in catching that dreamed elusive fish. The bait must be fresh, clean and of good quality. They should be attached to the hooks properly, otherwise, the fisher will just simply be feeding the catch, which is no different from dropping pieces of wafer to goldfish in an aquarium bowl. Attaching the bait is a technical skill itself. It is only learned demonstratively from experienced fishermen.
A fisher is to the water as a hunter is to the forest. A fisher must know how to approach the kind of fish that he is after. Before the actual fishing, he must have already studied every information about the fish that he desires– how it behaves, what it eats, and the ways through which it can easily be captured. He must develop his own system of effortlessly and noiselessly changing the baits and the strong sense to detect a perfect spot in which the hook should be dropped.
A good fisher lastly is adept in predicting the weather. He knows the movement of the seasons and the kinds of fish that travels in each of the movement. He knows the sound of waters and the texture of the skies, and can sense if the sea will be windy, rainy or sunny.
