Fishing Tides: When is the Best Time to Fish?

 

Going out fishing can both be an exciting and relaxing hobby, depending on how you look it. The excitement comes in the idea that you can catch fish, and as per always, catching fish feels like winning something as there is always some luck involved with the catch. It can also be very relaxing as a few minutes spent while waiting for the fish to take your  bait mean getting some tan and catching up on your reading.
Generally, There is no definite best time to fish if you base it on the tides of the sea. This is mostly because the fish are dependent on the bait or on their feeds.
The general rule is that: there is no definite time to fish and get all the kinds of fish if you base it solely on the time of the tides. However, if you do intend to catch a specific type of fish, better check on the tides on where their food or bait is available in low tide or high tide and where.
A general rule would be, in considering to fish during high tide or low tide, is to find out where the small fish are. The big game-type fish follow the small bait-type fish as the big game-type fish feed on the small fish.
Most small type fish can not swim against the tide. So game-type fish who feed on these small bait-type fish can be found where these small fish are. So for a variety of game-type fish, fish during the incoming tide. The incoming tide is the tide which starts after the low tide. Some two hours before the tide is high would be perfect.
Both tides produce good turn-out for different types of fish. Again, there is no general rule. When you intend to go surf fishing, the ebb tide would be perfect.
