Hello folks, My name is Capt. Dale Fields.

I am a Florida native, born and raised in Tampa. I have fished the waters, in and around Tampa Bay, for over 40 years. I have been a licensed guide for over 15 years.

The areas that I fish include all of Tampa Bay, and the nearshore/inshore waters from St. Petersburg to New Port Richey.

The species most common to these areas include: Snook, Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish, Tarpon, Cobia, Spanish Mackeral, and others.

I will furnish all bait and tackle:

" For most specious, we will use light and medium spinning tackle with 10 lb. to 14 lb. test braided line, on 7-8 foot rods. For Tarpon, we will use 30-40 lb. test line, on spinning and casting rods.

" Live bait is used most often and the baits consist of pinfish, sardines, threadfin herrings, etc., and artificial baits consist of soft plastics on lead jig heads.

No experience is necessary, novice anglers are welcome. I will help you learn to cast and how to properly fight and land the fish, and do everything possible to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience on the water.

My boat, "The Flats Meow", is a Dorado 23 foot, center console with a full tower, dual steering stations, powered by a 200 hp Yamaha Four-Stroke motor. There is plenty of storage and comfortable seating. Water, cooler and ice will be provided.

I am a licensed and insured Coast Guard Captain. I am also a member of the Florida Guides Association and the Coastal Conservation Association.

I offer trips ranging from four hours to eight hours, for one to four anglers. Larger groups, with multiple boats, can be arranged. Gift certificates are also available and make great gifts.

Four-hour Trip $400.00
Six-hour Trip $500.00
Eight-hour Trip $600.00

A $100 deposit is required for reservations. At this time, I accept cash, traveler’s checks, money orders, and personal checks. Deposits will be refunded on all cancellations made within 72 hours prior to the charter date. No-shows will forfeit their deposit, unless there are extenuating circumstances or unless cancellation is made by the captain due to dangerous weather conditions.
